Woork header restyling

Save to delicious 0 hits

A new pastel header for woork, July 2008.

Ok guys... the new header is finally on-line. I worked hard in the past days to design it and obtain a pastel effect with the right colors. I also made some general changes of my layout.
I find it's very clean and nice. What do you tink? Send me your comments!
Ciao :)

Nice header, maybe it's a good idea to also post an image of the old one, so people can compare them? ;-)

Though the current header matches with the rounded corner backgrounds of comment and Delicious links, sidebar background etc., I personally prefer the older layout. It seemed brighter and hence, more cheerful.

But oh well ;)

It's nice, but I fully expected the "ajax", "wordpress", "css", etc. graphics in the bottom portion of the header to be links to "Posts tagged with..." pages.

Seems kind of pointless with them there (or at least, a lot of space with little added benefit) by not making them functional in same fashion.

This header is far better than previous one, That was crowded.
Also, I have a question Antonio, Why don't you migrate to a dedicated domain for woork blog.

I like pastel effect, and this colors are really nice.

But you should think about the size of header. In my opinion one year ago, bigger header (like yours) was trend.

Lovely colours, but for me the top margin is to big and the page starts to far down. I've RSSed your site.

I would link the Woork logo to home, especially since next to it is the delicious link.

Well, your 'tag cloud' isn't clickable... The looks are nice though!

Hi Antonio, it looks really nice, but the Feed RSS menu can't be closed because it opens over the "Feed RSS" link.

Personally I preferred the old design and colour scheme. How about adding a style switcher so people can change to the old one if they wish. A tutorial on this would be great too.

I agree with you. It's more tech-like and clean. I like the font of your logo and in the subheader! Keep it up Antonio...

The new design is very soft and clean but I think I liked the green one better. The colors were brighter.

It is nice anyway.

Antonio, I'm a huge fan of your blog.

I like both of your design. But if I've to choose one then it would be the last one...green design was looking bright better than this one...

Very nice! Love the blue.
You should make the cloud click able, using an image map mabie.

Personally, I like the previous header. But, nice color coordination.

Very nice redesign, and you opened up a lot of whitespace, but there is no way of seeing the information from the header with images disabled. If the logo has a slid background and not a transparent one, I would suggest putting an alternative header right under it, in case images or CSS fail.

But otherwise a great job. Just looking from the accessible side of things.
