I have really enjoyed using prototype/scriptaculous in the past, but it is getting more evident that jQuery may be (or has) overtaking?

For those willing to pay for a book, I fully recommend the Prototype / script.aculo.us book by the Pragmatic Programmers. Although not advanced, it's pretty thorough and straightforward to read.
