Great list, is there a reason I would use these instead of photoshop or fireworks?

Sorry if it's a silly question I'm still learning

@Dave: these Image Croppers can be integrated on a website and in this way users can upload images and modify them directly on the same web site (for example uploading and modifying profile picture)

Thanks for including my script in your selection.
The main difference between Kroppr and other image cropping scripts is that Kroppr allows image rotation, in real time, and this without a java or flash plugin, but natively.

@Antonio: really useful, we all have the software to do this but the majority of our users won't. Never considered this before

Great list with a cropper option for each of the major javascript frameworks, an excellent resource thanks. ...Are some people here completely missing the point though, these tools aren't being developed by crazy people planning on muscling in on Adobe, they are just a small tool that gives website visitors the ability to crop/adjust uploaded images. Perhaps the website likes images to be the same size or ratio and rather than editing an image and uploading it, users can upload and very quickly have an image ready for display...
